The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is a professional organisation of counsellors and psychotherapists. One of its primary responsibilities is to monitor and maintain a high standard of professional conduct. As a member, I adhere to their strict code of ethics. Any queries or concerns can be made directly.

The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is responsible for maintaining high standards in the practise of psychotherapy for the benefit of the public. As a trainee Psychotherapist working towards accreditation to the UKCP I adhere to their professional code of ethics.

BACP is an organization which:

* Develops and maintains a world-class professional support service to enhance membership understanding and productivity.

* Values integrity, impartiality and respect Promotes equality of opportunity.

* Promotes accessibility for clients to counsellors and psychotherapists.

* Is responsive to emerging issues and trends.

* Consults widely and is enterprising.

The UKCP's purpose is to:

* promote the art and science of psychotherapy for the public benefit.

* promote research and education in psychotherapy and disseminate the results of any such research.

* promote, preservation and protection of public health by encouraging high standards of training and practice.

* promote psychotherapy and the wider provision of psychotherapy for the public benefit.
